"We dispensed with the tilt plate and bolted the tilt motor straight onto the camera rig. This saved us some weight but more importantly it put the axis of the motor at the nodal point of the rig. This meant that the motor was under virtualy no strain when tilting and as a result we were able to use a 29Kg rig for six week with no mechanical or electrical problems whatsoever. The head is clearly much stonger than is claimed! For anyone who wants to know it was two Red Epics on a P+S Technik Freestyle rig."
